Four years after the inaugural Ride for Clean Energy benefitting the Tyler Lewis Clean Energy Research Foundation, the fourth annual ride got under way. On August 6th, 40 participants including some international riders visiting from the US embarked on the beautiful 75 km ride navigating through the scenic Fraser Valley, starting from Harrison Mills and ending in Maple Ridge.
The Ride is set as the Foundation’s major annual fundraiser and proved itself as just that by raising $25,100, going directly to the Foundation. This tally is the biggest in the event’s history. The money raised is pivotal for the continued issuing of the Foundation’s yearly grant.
The foundation would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s ride, as well as all the volunteers who made the event possible. We would also like to extend our immense gratitude to this year’s ride sponsors:
- Cap’s Westwood Cycle
- Patrick O’Brien RBC Dominion Securities
- Rush Engineering
- Sperling Vineyards
- Rain City Riders
