2020 Ride For Clean Energy a success! $22,834.28 Raised.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 global health situation, the Ride For Clean Energy had to modify it’s format for 2020. Traditionally the RFCE has taken place on a single route as a big group of riders, however this year we decided to do things remotely. Each registered rider rode their own route of their choosing in their local location. In recognition of financial hardships that may have been brought about by the pandemic, we also decided to drop registration fees and minimum donation amounts. Despite all of this, this has been one of the best years to date.

With a record number 65 riders registered for the ride, the 2020 RFCE has fundraised $22,834.28 for the Tyler Lewis Clean Energy Foundation! That total makes this second biggest year to date and brings are total throughout the years to $136,520.

We are at a loss for words at what all the riders and donors, past and present, have accomplished in the name of The Ride For Clean Energy. From the bottom of our collective hearts, thank you so much! We understand how challenging this year has been for so many people, so this year especially, we want to thank all of the registrants for riding and helping to fund clean energy research projects. Also thanks to our amazing sponsors: Dr. Patrick O’Brien at RBC Dominion Securities, Trek Maple Ridge and Kintec Maple Ridge.

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on tylerlewis.ca sometime in the late fall/winter for announcements regarding this year’s grant recipient(s).
